What is your initial action at this time and why? If you continue your morning assessments when the patient in the next room complains of pain, rating it as a 9 on a 1 to 10 scale. After you obtain an order for morphine, 2 to 4 mg IV as needed for severe pain, you enter the room and observe that the patient has pulled out the central line catheter.

The correct answer to this question would depend on the nurse. Though I am not a nurse, I would call for help with another nurse, because the patient would need their catheter. If there are any body fluids on the floor that came from the catheter being removed, I will clean it up. From there, I would call the doctor.

I think it would be necessary for the doctor to come to perform another evaluation. What happens to mind is that the player may need to be put into a coma for their protection or if they are having a reaction to the medicine.
