What is the vertical compoenent of its velocity? A cannon fires a 1kg cannonball with a velocity of 100m/s at 60 degrees to the horizontal and from a cliff which is 20m above sea level.

Using trig function - you need to the vertcal compoent which is the opposite side i.e. 100sin60
