The Android logo takes up the form of a human body that looks like a green robot. There are also rumors that the robot has an uncanny similarity with a character from an Atari game and Star Wars’ R2-D2. Irina Blok designed the logo and wanted a simple yet playful look.

The word “android” is often confused with the word humanoid. Humanoids are robots with a pair of arms and legs without possessing facial features while androids are humanoids with facial features. That is the reason why the Android logo has a face. The color of the Android logo is green which means prosperity, growth, and freshness.
