For those who are not aware, a MAC address is also known as a Media Access Control Address. This is not created or related to Apple, the company that creates MAC computers. This is E. a logical address. This is known to have a unique identification number so that it can be determined to be different from all the other devices that are available in the network.

If you want to check what your computer’s MAC address is, you should look for it through the command prompt window. This will display the information that you are searching for. You will know that this is the identification number as this is composed of 12 digits.

It is provided by the manufacturer of the NIC.
Is is a logical address.

C, D. A MAC address is 6 bytes long (48 bits) and is burned into the NIC card by the manufacturer. IPX, when it was still used, used the MAC address as part of the configuration.
