There are a lot of soldiers that participated in the war and made sure that they would put up a good fight to protect their country’s honor. The number of people who are given medals would change from one country to another. Take note that there are also different types of medals that are available with some being more sought after as compared to others.

For instance, there are some soldiers who have aimed to get the “Taeguk Medal.” Not everyone was able to receive this. Soldiers would need to show an extraordinary amount of bravery and courage to go through the war. Most soldiers are traumatized and would need treatments after.

A total of about 472 soldiers were honored and presented with medals after the conclusion of the Second World War. This Medal of Honor was formulated by the United States of America during its civil war. The Medal of Honor still has its place as the greatest military decoration any military man can ever receive in service. The Medal of Honor is presented by the United States of America government to any of the members of its armed forces, be it the police, the SWAT team, the FBI, CIA, US Army, or the US marine.

The person to whom this medal is being presented would have distinguished himself seriously even at the risk of his own life during the call of duty against anyone or nation tagged as an enemy of the states. Due to nature this Medal of Honor has, it is most times presented posthumously as most of the soldiers who earn it might have died on duty.
