Plants are opposite to humans. They are blessed with the capability to produce oxygen. This is the opposite of respiration. This process is called photosynthesis and needs sunlight to take place. It can only be performed by plants or certain bacteria who contain chlorophyll. The process is exactly opposite of respiration where glucose in broken to release energy.

On the other hand photosynthesis joins carbon dioxide and water to form glucose. This used energy and is a vital piece of achievement. Plants respire also. However, during the day time, the level of respiration diminishes, leading to photosynthesis being greater than degree of respiration.
