2ne1 used to be a KPOP girl group that was very popular a few years back. They were composed of four members, namely CL, Bom, Dara, and Minzy. They had a lot of hit songs during their prime, and their fans called themselves “Blackjacks.”
This girl group was formed by YG Entertainment in 2009, but when Minzy left the group years after, the entertainment company was not sure if they would still continue the journey of the group. They have decided to disband the group and form a new girl group instead, which a lot of people know now as Blackpink. Some even say that Blackpink is a “prettier” version of 2ne1.
