When liquid vaporizes it cools off. This is also called evaporation. It may come to mind that when liquid becomes vapor it is usually because it has endured very high temperatures. However, it can be that liquids can evaporate at low temperatures or at room temperature.

Evaporation actually happens when atoms or molecules escape from a liquid and turn into vapor. It can also be noted that not all molecules in a liquid have the same amount of energy. Evaporation occurs on the surface. In relation boiling will occur as a bulk phenomenon instead of a surface phenomenon.
