Health-related physical fitness is associated with functional health and it prevents us from diseases. There are five health-related fitness components: Flexibility, Cardiorespiratory Endurance, Muscular Strength, Muscular endurance and Body Composition.
Skill-related physical fitness is also called performance fitness as it involves the ability to perform during sports and games. There are six skill-related fitness components: Agility, Balance, Coordination, Power, Reaction Time, and Speed.
Some people are considered healthy even though they can not do any skilled fitness components. They may eat healthy and do common exercises, but they can’t go to the gym and do any requirements. That is because these two terms, health and skill related to fitness, are two different things. The opposite can also be true. A person can be talented at the skill related components of fitness, but they are not healthy in relation to the components of fitness.
The reason is because the health related components of fitness is related to the efficiency of the body. The skill related components of fitness relate to the performance of the exercises. This means whether you can effectively do the exercise or routine.
