The correct answer is option C – Slightly larger than a man’s fist The heart is a muscular organ located at the center of the chest, but it’s slightly tilted to the left side of the chest. The average size of an adult’s heart is a little larger than the size of a fist. The average heart weighs between 250–350 grams. All other options (options A, B, and D) are incorrect.

The heart is much larger than the size of a walnut and a golf ball, but the heart is not as large as the size of a soccer ball. The main function of the heart is to pump blood across the body. It does so by pumping oxygenated blood into the greatest blood vessel known as the aorta. The heart receives deoxygenated blood from the superior and inferior vena cava.
