It is true that the Spanish were already informed ahead of time about the possible rebellion of the Filipinos against the Spaniards. The Spanish soldiers did not believe the priest. It was only confirmed when Patino, a Filipino confirmed the various statements that are supposed to be a secret. The discovery of the Katipunan caused a lot of bloodbath.

There were some people who were wrongfully accused and executed simply because of speculations that they were part of the revolution. The revolution was being planned in the first place so that Filipinos can get the freedom they want from the foreigners who have invaded their land. The Spaniards left behind some traditions that are still being followed by Filipinos at present time.
