Basketball was created in 1891 in Springfield. It was invented by James Naismith, a Canadian physical education instructor, he believed it was less prone to injury sport than football and can be best played during the cold month.
Basketball was widely accepted and later played in American colleges and every other part of the world. It became grew into a professional sport that prompted the establishment of the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 1946.
It is now a multibillion-dollar enterprise. Many people have taken basketball for their personal occupation and some hobby. The first basketball was played at Springfield College, on December 21, 1891.
James originally published five basic ideas and thirteen rules. In 1960 peaches were not used as basket anymore; metal hoops, nets, and backboards were invented.
