Beer is a very popular beverage and it is the drink that is drunk the most in the world as far as alcoholic beverages are concerned. Actually, water and tea are the only beverages that people drink more than beer. During ancient civilizations, barley beer was found in ancient Iraq and ancient Egypt.

The workers who built the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt drank beer when they were thirsty. After ancient civilization, beer came from Armenia to Europe including mainly Germany. However, during this time it was an odd type of beer that is different to the beer we have here today. Sometimes, back then, fruits and honey were added to beer and served. Today, people even brew their own beer.
