Mean, median and mode are mathematical terms that are frequently used in math. Mean is the average of a set of numbers. To determine the average of a set of numbers, you would need to add up all of the numbers in the set and then divide it by the number of number that you added. This will get you the average or mean.

The median is the middle number. Line up all of the numbers in order from lowest to greatest. Then pick the number that is in the middle of that line. The mode is the most frequent number. If you have several of the same numbers, then this is the mode. These are used frequently if you have sets of numbers.
