The hydrologic cycle is the other name for the water cycle. It comprises of water evaporating from earth, becoming clouds and then again shifting back to the earth as rain and snow. This maintains the water content of the earth and influences rainfalls and waters in the streams and rivers. It starts with water evaporating from the lake, which forms clouds in the sky.
