The present subjunctive of regular verbs follows the same "rules" as the imperative in Spanish. That is to say, drop the O of the regular "yo" form of the present tense, add the "opposite vowel" and proceed. This even applies to verbs considered to be "irregular" ( decir, tener, hacer, venir, poner, etc.)
