CSET stands for California Subject Examinations for Teachers. In order to pass the CSET test, one must be good at reading, language, and must have basic information about literature and history. Apart from that, one also needs to study mathematics and science for the subtest 2. For the subtest 3, one needs to have good knowledge of the visual arts, performing arts, and physical educations.
Each of the subtests is paid for separately, and they can be taken all at once or separately. In order to start a teacher preparation program approved by the state, the required subtest of this test must be cleared.
