The correct answer to this question is C, 15ml and 15ml. Boric acid is also known as a hydrogen borate. It is a weak bond that is often used as a neutron absorber, flame retardent, and antiseptic. It is dangerous to humans and animals, so much so that it is used to kill insects.

Though it takes a lot to be lethal, there are dangerous side effects. This problem can be solved by using the algebra equation as follows:0.01x+0.05(30-x)= 0.0330
0.01x+ 1.5 - 0.05x = 0.9


-0.04x= -0.6
x=0.6/0.04
x=15 ml 1 % solution
balance 15 ml will be 3% solution
