The correct answer to this question is option B – Battle of the Coral Sea The Battle of the Coral Sea was fought from the 4th to the 8th of May in 1942 (four days war). It was a major fight between the Japanese navy and the air forces of the United States. It was an engagement dominated by aircraft carriers for the rest of the Pacific Campaign.

The Battle of the Coral Sea marked the first air sea part in history. The battle was strategically planned by the Japanese forces to attack and take over the Coral Sea. The U.S forces heard about the Japanese plan through signal intelligence and sent Navy carriers to oppose the Japanese forces. At the end, both forces claimed victory of the battle. Hope you find this information helpful.

The Coral Sea was a tactical draw. The Battle of Midway decisively put Japan on the defensive.
