What would the result be if the telnet 10.0.2.2 command is issued from Switch1 privileged mode?
Switch1 has only the following commands added to a default CISCO 2960 configuration: enable secret CISCO line vty 0 4 password Kn0ckkn-cK login interface VLAN 1 IP address 10.0.1.8 255.255.255.0 no shutdown Assume that routing between networks is functioning properly and that Switch2 has been properly configured for remote access.

A. The following prompt would appear: User Access Verification Password:
B. Switch2 would return a destination unreachable message to Switch1.
C. Router1 would return a destination unreachable message to Switch1.
D. The packet would be dropped.

The question says the switch1 is configured properly for remote access. There is not indication on the configuration applied on switch1 to assume default-gateway is not configured.

The link between Router2 and Switch2 should be trunk and the ip on Switch2 should be configured on Vlan1 or trunk's native vlan. But there is not clue if they are not there.

When the question says routing works properly and switch2 is configured properly for remote access, why would the frame be dropped?

The telnet session from remote host will let the user until user exec mode. User will not be able to enter into priviliged exec mode as password should be configured for that.

The answer is not clear.

I believe the packet would drop due to the switch not having a default gateway set for it.

The interface should be in vlan1 by default??

Wait, is it because the interface wasn't added to the VLAN1? With only the default config,
switchport mode access
switcport access vlan 1

would need to be turned on for it to join that vlan ? Correct ?
