The answer to this is A. There are some people who may find this hard to understand if they do not know what meiosis is. There are four stages available such as prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. The end result of these four stages is the production of 4 haploid cells.

This means that one starting cell has the ability to form four gametes in meiosis 1. When it comes to meiosis II, the same stages will take place but this time, they will be prophase II, metaphase II, anaphase II and telophase II. The main reason why meiosis takes place is to complete the process of fertilization.
