The way that they look like is also different from each other. Emus come with deep brown feathers, whether they are male or female. Ostriches are different. You will know what their gender is based on the color of their feathers. Male ostriches have black and white feathers, while female ostriches have brown feathers.

Emu and ostrich are usually mistaken for each other; Emus are the second-largest birds in the world and the largest among the bird in Australia. The male and female species are difficult to differentiate. The Emus can run a speed up to 30mph because of their strong legs, and also their feet are strong enough to kill a human. After a female Emu lays eggs, it is incubated by the male’s species.

Ostrich is the largest bird in the world and is native to Africa. It is easy to differentiate between the female and male species because the male species have black feathers and white on their wings while the females have a grey-brown feather. Ostrich can run at a speed of up to 40mph. Ostrich is usually farmed for their meat and feathers.

Lots of people say that the Emu and the Ostrich are the same thing. But that is wrong. Emus are native to Australia and the Ostrich are native to Africa.

So that proves it. they are not the same thing. They are native to different places in the world.

Emus and ostriches have so many differences, but the common similarity of the two is that both are flightless birds. Emus are big flightless birds native to Australia, and they represent the largest birds in Australia. In contrast, ostriches are big flightless birds native to Africa, and they are the largest birds in the whole world. At times, most people find it difficult to differentiate between female emus and their males simply because they look alike. This usually becomes a problem when you consider the fact that both have deep brown feathers.

As for ostriches, female ostriches and their males don't look similar when it comes to the color of their feathers. Female ostriches are particularly known for their grey-brown feathers, whereas their males are known for their black feathers. Although both have strong legs which they use to defend themselves from predators, however, you will only find two toes in ostriches, whereas the emus have three toes on their legs. As for emus, the incubation of the eggs is done only by the male emus, whereas this responsibility is shared between the male and female ostriches.

An Emu is the second-largest living, flightless bird, and the largest would be the Ostrich. The Emu is found in Australia, and the Ostrich is from Africa. The Emu is about five feet tall, weighs 100 pounds, more or less, and can run about 30 miles per hour. The Ostrich is about nine feet tall, weighs about 330 pounds and can run about 40 miles per hour.

Ostriches live in groupings of 5 to 50 birds, they travel together and hang around with zebras and antelopes. They eat plants and insects, and because they have no teeth, they swallow pebbles that help to grind the food they swallow hole. The Emu eats bugs, vegetation, and lizards, and they also eat small stones to grind their food.
