When you say WPL, this stands for Windows Media Player Playlist. This is the file format by which the different multimedia playlists will be stored and used. All of the songs that you will save and all of the playlists that you will create will be under WPL. If you would see file formats that come in M3U, then you can be sure that this stands for Winamp. If you are not familiar with Winamp, then you may have missed out on its popularity in the past.

This is a free music player that will be able to play your different favorite songs provided that you will save it in the proper file. There are instances when the files cannot be played because of the media extensions that are used.
