When a woman is undergoing menopause, this means that the woman has already reached the age wherein the ovary will not be producing an egg that can be fertilized every month anymore. It will take some time before it happens. Most women would go through a premenopausal stage first before they can actually stop from having their period.

A pregnant woman is someone who has had sex when she was fertile. The sperm from the male has fertilized the egg in the ovary, and this leads to the development of life. A woman who misses her period might get scared or excited because this is definitely one sign of pregnancy.
