Organic chemistry simply refers to the chemistry of the compounds of carbon or the chemistry of carbon-containing compounds, except for simple ones like carbonates, carbides, and oxides. On the other hand, inorganic chemistry is the chemistry of elements and the compounds which they form, plus the compounds of carbon such as carbides, carbonates, and oxides. In inorganic chemistry, this chemistry is based on the study of the various properties, reactions, compounds, preparation of the elements.
In contrast, the chemistry of the compounds of carbon is studied in relation to certain terms such as isomerization, stereo-chemistry, photochemistry, fermentation, hydrogenation, and polymerization. Both are important aspects of chemistry. Organic chemistry has to do with important chemical reactions as well as other biological reactions. Inorganic chemistry is also an important part of chemistry because it gives more information about all the elements and their uses. A chemist is expected to be good in the two aspects of chemistry.
