String class is supplied to hold a sequence of characters that cannot be changed. Fortunately, Java programing language provides two types of sequences of characters. StringBuffer was introduced in JDK 1.0. StringBuffer class belongs to the java package and is received from the generic java.lang .object. Programmers cannot expand it further since it is a final class. String Buffer class executes appendage and char sequence interfaces.

An entity of the class StringBuffer can hold a sequence of characters that is mutable and thread safe. It is comparable Append, and inserts approaches are overloaded so that they can accept information the characters of the equivalent string to the existing String Buffer object. The append procedure adds to the reassigned string to the end of the existing StringBuffer object. StringBuilder class was introduced in JDK 1.5. StringBuilder API is very much similar to the StringBuffer API. StringBuilder class was introduced as a replacement for the String Buffer class (for single-thread application). StringBuilder class belongs to the java package and is inherited from the genetic java.long.object.

StringBuilder is a concatenation technique that a Java programmer would most likely prefer when dealing with C# programming. When using the StringBuilder, you can manipulate, create, and delete the string characters. This technique of string concatenation is also a faster method, and it does not make use of many resources on the server, which makes it a preferable choice for many programmers. StringBuilder should actually be converted to a regular or normal string in other applications.

But you have to use the "To string ( )" method to convert the StringBuilder. On the other side of the coin, StringBuffer happens to be a mutable and thread-safe sequence of characters. StringBuffer is also similar to that of a string, just that the string cannot be changed or modified. You can use some certain methods to modify the sequence and length content of StringBuffer. These methods would actually be synchronized in order for your operations to perform consistently well and in order.
