Cucumbers are plants that are a member of the gourd family. Though they are now available in different parts of the world, they originated from India. They are a type of plant with vines, and they creep on the ground. Cucumbers have a watery flavor, and they are made up of 90 percent water. On the other hand, pickles are cucumbers preserved in a solution, usually vinegar syrup or brine. While it is very common to see people using pickles, its full form is pickled cucumbers.

Some pickles are prepared by making them ferment so that a different taste or flavor can be achieved. This is just to let you know that there are different types of pickles. Some are prepared by preserving them in vinegar, while there are others that are made by preserving them in tarragon and vinegar. Apart from this little difference, cucumbers and pickles are the same except for the fact that pickles are brined cucumbers.

Cucumbers and pickles are one in the same; however, pickles have experienced food processing, which employs certain food seasonings. Cucumbers have a refreshing, watery taste, while pickles are somewhat spicy. There are also other types of pickles, such as sweet pickles, that many people use on their cheeseburgers. However, it is always fun to add a dill pickle on the side of certain types of sandwiches.

Cucumbers originated in India, and now it is a major staple in vegetable or garden salads. Cucumbers are also used by many women to depuff their eyes. There is still a debate as to whether or not this technique even works. Cucumbers are made up of 90 percent water, and pickles are just cucumbers “pickled” in vinegar or brine. The popular Kosher dill pickle is made by fermenting them with brine and adding garlic and dill weed. The Cornichon pickle, which is a special type of pickle, is gherkin fermented in tarragon plus vinegar.
