You may be wondering what are the differences between STI and STD. In order to lessen your confusion, you should realize that STI means Sexually Transmitted Infection. There are certain infections that may hinder the body from working its best because of viruses, microorganisms, and so much more.

People who are suffering from STI may be required to undergo some treatments or to take some medications in order to potentially cure the infection. STD means Sexually Transmitted Disease.

This can be a bit problematic for people to have because most of them would need to deal with the disease for their whole lifetime. The words infection and disease may sometimes be changed interchangeably.
