There are so many aspects of psychology that it will be hard to understand everything especially if you never studied it. Counseling psychology is more focused on providing the help needed for those who are considered to be mentally stronger.

They may just be having problems right now. This means that a person who may be going through a divorce may consider getting counseling psychology in order to adjust to whatever he or she is going through.

Those who are undergoing clinical psychology are those who have more mental issues or disorders. For example, someone who is suffering from psychosis would need to see a clinical psychologist in order to improve his/her condition.
