It can be confusing to know the difference between gout and osteoarthritis because they may share some similar symptoms. When you have gout, the pain that you will feel will usually be sudden. There will be times when you would suddenly feel that everything is swelling or that some parts of your body will become red or swollen.

When you have osteoarthritis, this is not an autoimmune disease. This is something that may occur when you have already aged or when you have gotten injured. This means that having osteoarthritis will not depend on your immune system. There are also different treatments that are available for these conditions.
