Atrovent is something that is being used for the maintenance and treatment of people who are suffering from bronchospasm. This is also being used by people who would need to be treated for COPD or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

Albuterol is also being used to treat those with bronchospasm but this time, it is being used for people who are suffering from reversible obstructive airway disease. There are instances when they are given together to ensure that the symptoms and signs that are associated with having lung disease can be avoided.

There are times when blockages need to be prevented and the only way that this can be done is by taking both medications at the same time.
