There are a lot of people who believe that justification and sanctification are the same but they are a bit different from each other. Justification means that something or someone has already been declared as someone who is righteous.

Someone who is going through sanctification means that the person is already on its way to becoming righteous. When you say that you would like to become sanctified, this means that you are following the footsteps of Jesus.

You are trying to make sure that you will be able to work and move the same way that Jesus used to live in the past. This means that you have to move in the image and likeness of God.
