Buddhism and Hinduism sometimes confuse people, as they believe that both are the same, which couldn’t be further from the truth. They are two different religions, with two different sets of beliefs. In Buddhism, rebirth is a natural phenomenon, which is celebrated in this religion. It is something that happens when someone dies; they will come back as someone or something else. For example, if you were brave in your human life, the next life, you could come back as a lion.

All of the person’s karmic energy is channeled into something either positive or negative. Reincarnation is at the heart of the Hindu philosophy of faith. While Hinduism believes in reincarnation, Buddhists believe in rebirth. Reincarnation is similar to the transmigration of souls. It is based upon performance, eternality, and the ferocity of the soul. Hinduism reincarnation occurs as every person must account for their goodness or evil tendencies. This concept is the only similarity between them. It has to do with karmic debt.

Religious terms are not that always easy to fathom or explain, of which reincarnation is part of it. Whereas, Buddhism and Hinduism are two major religions that make in-depth reference to the term reincarnation, which literally means rebirth. Though these two terms "rebirth" and "reincarnation" are synonymous, these two religions in view tend to draw out differences between them. Foremost, note that Buddhism has its beliefs in rebirth, while Hinduism has its belief in reincarnation.

Reincarnation is closely related to the transmigration of souls, while rebirth is not really related to the transmigration of souls. Hinduism believes in reincarnation is based on eternality, non-destructiveness, and permanence of souls, whereas Buddhism has no belief in this about the soul. Reincarnation in the Hinduism religion has to do with giving an account of your deeds in the previous life, while rebirth in Buddhism has nothing to do with that.
