OFCCP and EEOC are two types of government related to discrimination in regards to employment. OFCCP stands for The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. This office ensures that jobs are following the laws that are related to discrimination. They have been around since 1978. EEOC stands for Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The difference is that the EEOC is an independent program under the government. They have been around since 1967, and they ensure that independent businesses are following anti-discrimination laws. These independent businesses are not affiliated with the federal government, which is why the EEOC handles and has authority over.

These are laws that cover nondiscrimination in their operations as they conduct business with the federal government.

The OFCCP is granted the power to enforce companies and their subcontractors doing work, accomplishing work with the federal government to prohibit discrimination. The types of discrimination include gender, race, religious beliefs, and disability. These measures are set up to safeguard people to have equal and fair employment opportunities for citizens of the United States.
