A lot of people are aware of the differences between idealism and realism. But what about the differences between the two in foreign policy? In idealism, this means that the state should make it a point to create an internal political philosophy as the main goal of the foreign policy. Realism is another type of approach but this time, it takes into consideration the things that will work best depending on the given situation.

It would need to consider how people feel about something or if there are some concerns that people may have about the things that are being tackled in general. People who are in power may be idealists or realists depending on what their beliefs are.
