Although CNBC or Consumer News and Business Channel and Fox Business are both business channels for people to get business and financial news, as well as trading information, there are however, a lot of differences between the two. First, both channels are owned by different companies. CNBC belongs to NBC Universal and has been in use for this operation since it started on April 17th, 1989.

NBC also runs other sister channels together with CNBC, such as NBC, NCBC world, its weather channel, and MSNBC. On the other hand, Fox Business belongs to the Fox Entertainment Group, a group owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation.

CNBC seems to be the older of the two when you consider the fact that Fox Business was created on October 15th, 2007. Although the two channels have a lot of viewers all over the world, CNBC seems to have a larger audience compared to Fox Business.
