When you hear the terms “ceil” and “floor,” you may assume that this is for the parts of the home or other establishments, but these are terms that are commonly used in Java. Ceil is a type of method that will allow you to make the nearest integer go up or down depending on what you want.

This can often be used in doing math. The floor is something that you can use when you want to know the largest double data type. If you want to understand simpler, the floor is always going to be the integer that is greater than n while ceil is going to be the smallest integer as compared to n.
