What is the difference between Antiseptic and Disinfectant?

There are some people who think that antiseptics and disinfectants are the same. They are known to be effective in killing microorganisms. There are some people who even use them interchangeably because they seem to be the same. Take note that the main difference is where they are going to be placed. When you say antiseptic, this is something that you need to put on your body.

For example, you have gotten a wound. You are going to use the antiseptic in order to clean that wound. When you have a disinfectant, this is something that you will use to clean various surfaces. You are not going to use a disinfectant on your body.
