QTP stands for Quickest Professional, which is a testing tool from the same company, but with a different purpose. QTP was created to simulate and test user connections such as mouse clicks and keyboard presses.
Both programs are used to regulate an application and to locate specific reactions that might not be able to see during normal operations, assisting the programmers and developers in tracing the code to determine the problem. LoadRunner is a software testing tool. It is used to assess applications, measuring system presentation, and performance under load.
LoadRunner can simulate a plethora of users who are executing the application software. It simulates activity by creating messages between components or by mimicking interactions with the user interface such as key presses or adjustments. Both programs record how people interact with the program.
