Puerto Plata and Punta Cana are two distinct regions in the Dominican Republic where you can go for vacation. Comparing these two places, the hotels in Puerto Plata are considered to be older than the ones in Punta Cana. Also, to acquire a place to lodge in Puerto Plata is considered cheaper than lodges in Punta Cana.

Some beautiful features that are existing in Puerto Plata include Casa colonial spa and beach, Victoria golf and beach resort, and Barceló Puerto Plata. Considering the fact that Punta Cana is just a newly constructed place, and the hotels in there are recent, the payment to acquire a lodge or have your vacation there is more expensive.

Vacations in Punta Cana tend to be more relaxing and calmer, while vacations Puerto Plata are most likely full of activities. This might be due to the fact that the water body surrounding Punta Cana is calmer. Punta Cana beaches also make provision for several water sports and marine pools where visitors can take their bathe safely.
