One of the few differences that will first come to mind if you have used the two devices before is the fact both are products from two different companies; Kindle was developed by Amazon, while Nook was developed by Barnes and Noble.

Another difference is that unlike Kindle that uses a physical keyboard, the input device in Nook is a software keyboard. While some prefer Kindle to Nook because of its physical keyboard, the liquid crystal display of Nook is also a huge plus to this device since it can still serve other purposes.

Another advantage which Nook has over Kindle is that it comes with a slot for a removable microSD card which means you have more space to store more files. Nook also uses a removable battery which means you can replace it with another one. In contrast, the battery type in Kindle can also be replaced just that it will first need to be opened up.
