Taste refers to the sensation produced by the tongue, particularly the taste bud, whenever an individual is eating a particular food so as to determine whether the food is sweet, bitter or whether it has a sour taste. On the other hand, the flavor is not only talking about the taste but also the aroma produced when the odor of food enters into the nose.

With flavor, you can also determine the texture of some foods. When food comes in contact with the taste bud, the brain helps in giving us information about the actual taste of the food. The flavor gives you more information about what you are eating through the sense of smell without depending solely on the information given by the brain when you taste your food.

At times you can effortlessly predict whether the food which you are about to eat is sweet or not just by smelling the aroma, although the true information about the sweetness is gotten when you taste.
