Insect bites are usually unpleasant things to experience. However, it is essential to understand whatever insect is responsible for the bite so as to be able to give the right treatment. Though spiders hardly bite, the result of their bite can be similar to that of bed bugs’.

Bed bugs are well known to feed majorly on the human blood, mostly at night while between 1 am and 5 am while sleeping. The heat and the carbon dioxide that you emit while sleeping at night are the main things that attract the bed bugs.

Hence, if you wake up in the morning to discover a line or group of red and itchy bites on your skin, the most likely culprits would be the bed bugs. As mentioned earlier, spiders do not really bite much. If at all, the bite is usually once, which might even be due to the fact that the insects feel threatened. You will most likely see spider bites on your skin with your naked eyes as some tiny puncture marks.

Bed bug and spider bites are two common insect bites that a person can experience. One of the main differences between the two is where the bite will occur. Bed bug bites are likely to occur all over the body and they will be in clusters. This is compared to spider bites, which will appear in just one spot.

Another difference between the two is how they are diagnosed. Bed bug bites are much easier to diagnose, because there will be a plethora of bites on the person's body, while spider bites are harder to diagnose because there is usually just one bite.

You may think that all insect bites look the same but if you would look closely, you will realize that they are not. It is quite common for some people who have not cleaned their beds for a long time to experience bed bug bites. Spider bites can also be common if you allow your house to have a lot of dark and dusty places.

One thing that you can do to know which insect has bitten you is to see the type of bite you have received. Bed bugs will usually bite in clusters so you will have mini bites in one place. If you are bitten by a spider, there is a big chance that it will be just one bite. It can only be deadly if you have been bitten by a poisonous spider.

Bed bug bites and spider bites are two most likely bites you can experience, especially when you sleep on your bed. One of the major ways to differentiate whether it is a bed bug bite or spider bite is by checking the location and the way you are being bitten. The bed bugs bites will most likely occur in more than a place, experiencing the bites in several locations on your body in cluster form.

However, the bite of a spider will most likely be on a spot because spiders hardly have multiple bites on someone. The bed bug bites can be easily diagnosed due to the earlier mentioned fact about the way they bite. It can be in cluster or linear form, and you will have a sensation of itchy, oh which of you do, you might develop an infection.

On the other side of the coin, it is usually quite difficult to diagnose the bite of a spider. It's better identified by placing more attention on the symptoms than checking for the actual bite because spiders don't leave their fang marks on the person they bite. The symptoms for spider bite include itching, pain, swelling, and redness.
