NBC is National Broadcasting Corporations. MSNBC is a collaborative effort of Microsoft and NBC. NBC launched its radio network in 1926, and it was a television network in 1941. NBC teamed up with Microsoft and introduced in 1996. NBC has full ownership of the network through NBC Universal, while NBC Universal has 82 percent of shares, and Microsoft has 18 percent shares in MSNBC.

MSNBC is more news-oriented, while NBC has a plethora of popular shows on it. NBC and MSNBC fit in to the same group. They broadcast the news, entertainment, health, sports, and other programs. They may belong in the same genre, and the two channels spar over news coverage and other various programs. NBC reaches about 100 million households, and MSNBC reaches out to about 80 million homes.

NBC is known to be owned by NBC Universal. These two belong to the same group. They are both known to be effective in providing news, entertainment, sports, as well as other programs that are meant to entertain. NBC stands for National Broadcasting Corporation. This is based in the United States. MSNBC is known to be a collaboration with Microsoft and also NBC.

The slogan of these two companies is also different from each other. The political affiliation of the two is also different from each other. NBC is owned fully by the company NBC Universal while MSNBC is not fully owned by NBC Universal. Instead, it is also owned by Microsoft.
