When you see silk and satin, you may think that they are the same. You should realize that these two are different. They both feel a luxurious bit of silk is more expensive than satin. Silk is known to be a natural fiber that comes from silkworms. The fact that the material itself is a bit hard to get will make this more expensive as compared to other types of cloth. Satin, on the other hand, is a type of weave.

It can be made of different materials. Satin that is made out of silk will still be expensive but there are also some that are made from varying materials. Satin is considered to be stronger since silk will have the tendency to become a bit fragile. Silk will be shimmery in appearance.
