Coronavirus in cat is called Feline coronavirus or FCoV. This virus is mostly found in cats. The virus is not contagious and most times the symptoms are not mild diarrhea and can be contacted when a cat is expose to the feces of an infected cat.

The virus can leave the cats body without detection, because it leaves the cat body through it feces.

However, this virus can be confusing because it is similar to other viruses that can be found in cats. Several test can be carried out through the blood, plasma and other fluids.

If the cat keeps getting infected with the virus it can lead to the disease known as feline infectious peritonitis (FIP).

Take note that cats will be susceptible to different types of infections, especially the coronavirus infection that may also spread among felines. Take note that this type of virus may be similar to other viruses that cats may get from other cats. Most of the time, cats who may get this virus will not even feel that they have it because this is asymptomatic. Some of them may experience mild diarrhea in the process. There are also some who may experience a mutation of this virus, and that is the time when this condition may become problematic among cats, especially kittens and those who are already in their geriatric age.

The correct answer to this question is FCoV or feline coronavirus. This is what the virus that occurs in cats is known as. It is a common infection that occurs in cats, with the main symptom being diarrhea. The virus normally sheds itself through feces, which is why it can often go undetected.

This is also a reason why it is passed among cats so often, because a pet owner may not be aware that there pet is suffering from the virus. There are several tests which can identify if the feline has the virus, including through blood, plasma, and other fluids.

The coronavirus infection in cats is caused by a virus known as feline coronavirus. This type of virus is not contagious i.e., and it cannot be passed from animal to animal or person to person. It is solely a disease common to cats. Feline Coronavirus is mostly contracted by cats when they exposed to feces of other infected cats.

Once a cat encounters the virus, there is every possibility that such a cat will contract the disease, although there are no particular symptoms at this particular stage, and that is why you might not know if your cat has the disease or not. Feline Coronavirus can live or survive in the soil for about two weeks, and several weeks once it is activated in the body.

After sometime, the virus will come out together with faeces. However, if a cat is constantly getting infected with feline coronavirus, it can lead to a disease known as feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). At this stage, this disease can be fatal in cats.
