Dawn to Dusk is a common phrase that many may hear from time to time. Both words refer to a time of day. The phrase means from morning tonight. Dawn is the early morning part of the phrase, while dusk is the night part of the phrase.

Along with referring to different times of day, dawn and dusk are also used in English literature to describe two types of emotions. Dawn is used in literature to describe happiness, while dusk is used to describe sadness. They both derive from two different worlds. Dawn derives from again. Dusk derives from dox.
