Oven takes the general term for the appliances that are used in heating food items in the kitchen. Oven makes use of a thermal insulation method in cooking food. The oven is usually used to roast, broil, bake, or reheat any food item. In addition, ovens can be divided into different categories, such as conventional oven, gas oven, earth oven, convection oven, and microwave oven.

You can place raw food items or precooked food into an oven to do the real cooking, or to do the finishing. On the other hand, the microwave is an alternative name for the microwave oven, which uses safe radiation to heat and cook food items. It works fast and efficiently.

This appliance has different ranges and intensities of radiation varying from low to medium, and to high. Ovens can run on gas and electricity, while microwave ovens usually function within electricity. However, the oven can carry out more functions than the microwave.
