The electric fireplace and Gas fireplace are appliances used for heating the home, essential appliances during the cold period. As the name implies, it is obvious that one uses electricity to function, which is the electric fireplace; while the other, gas fireplace, uses gases to work. It can be either natural or propane gas.

One of the differences between these is also the advantage one has over the other, which is; the gas fireplace can be carried from one place to another as it can function in a wide range of places than the electric fireplace. This is simply due to the fact that electricity may not be present everywhere.

The electric fireplace functions only when there is electricity, but when the electricity is interrupted, you will be left in the cold. The gas fireplace usually has a remote with which you can use to operate it. Meanwhile, the electric fireplace is a new invention of the fireplace.
