It is true that there are many similarities between humans and animals. Living things usually do different things in order to survive. Living things will be able to communicate with each other. One main difference between human beings and animals is that humans will always have respect for the dead.
When other human beings die, other living humans will do their best to think about the things that they can do to pay their last respects to the dead. For animals, they know that other animals have died but this does not mean that they are going to do anything in order to bury the animals. Some animals have shown signs of being agitated when another one of their species has died.
The main difference between animals and humans is the fact that human beings will usually have the ability to reflect on the things that they have done and gone through. For example, there are some humans who may try to think about the things that they have done throughout the day. If they feel that they have done something wrong, they may feel bad and contemplate it.
Animals, on the other hand, maybe scolded for doing some things but they may not understand why they are being scolded because they usually do not reflect on the things that they have done. This is just one of the things that set human beings apart from animals.
